Susan Long, a management consultant and professor of organisation dynamics, has joined with Dave Russell, an expert in natural horsemanship to create Leadership Whispering, a business devoted to helping you and your team excel in leadership and teamwork. We are unique in combining a high level leadership educator with an experienced horseman. This ensures you are exposed to contemporary theory alongside the practical work with the horses and that your learning can be applied directly to your roles in the workplace.

Dave Russell

Dave has been working with horses for over 35 years. He took his first horse, Tomo, a welsh mountain pony, on family trail rides. Tomo is still going strong today at the age of 37. Dave has developed a strong understanding of horses from starting his own young horses, studying classical dressage and working with numerous local and international clinicians. Over the years he has come to increasingly value natural horsemanship, which emphasises the importance of communication and mutual understanding in creating a calm and positive relationship between rider and horse. It is all about working with, and never against, the horse.

Dave manages Danima, the equestrian centre where Leadership Whispering workshops and seminars are conducted. The centre features a covered horse arena and round yard as well as a delightful conference centre.
